A Note on the Office

A Notary is an officer of the State - and a guardian of legal record.

"Every paper that passes under the notary's seal carries a presumption of truth. That is a trust to be exercised carefully - never casually."

The Notary, under the Notaries Act, 1952, is an officer appointed by the Central or State Government to verify the authenticity of documents, administer oaths, and attest signatures, copies, and translations. The notarial seal carries a statutory presumption - and, in many proceedings, treats notarised material as prima facie correct.

Adv. Mahabir Singh Shekhawat was authorised as a Notary by the Government of India on 22nd November 2024, under Registration No. 26319, by the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice. The authorisation extends to the entire Pilani area for a period of five years. The chamber now extends the full range of notarial services to clients across Pilani and the surrounding region - for personal, commercial, educational, and immigration-related needs.

Documents are verified, signed and sealed in person at the chamber, with appropriate identity checks and legal formality observed in each case.
