Two decades at the Pilani Bar, a chamber built on integrity, and a practice that has become a name of trust across the Jhunjhunu region of Rajasthan.
"To practise law is, before anything else, to listen - patiently, completely. The case unfolds only when the client feels heard."
Adv. Mahabir Singh Shekhawat (Khudaniyan), son of Sh. Hanuman Singh Shekhawat, hails from the Jhunjhunu region of Rajasthan. He was admitted to the Bar in 2005, enrolled with the Bar Council of Rajasthan, Jodhpur, under registration number R/807/2005, with effect from 27th August 2005. Since then, his chamber has been a fixture at the Pilani Court, where he has appeared in over a hundred matters - civil, family, criminal, and a wide range of dispute resolutions.
His academic foundation pairs commerce with law - a Master's in Commerce (M.Com) followed by a Bachelor's in Legal Studies (LLB), both completed in 1992 from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat. It is a combination that lends his practice a particular strength in matters involving property, contract, succession, and financial disputes, where commercial reasoning meets legal procedure.
On 22nd November 2024, he was appointed and authorised by the Government of India as a Notary (Regn. No. 26319), through the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice. The authorisation extends to the entire Pilani area for a period of five years - a recognition that takes his service beyond courtroom advocacy to the daily legal needs of citizens, businesses and institutions in the region.
What clients return for, however, is rarely the credentials. It is the conviction that their matter is being handled with care, that their counsel will tell them the truth even when it is inconvenient, and that the chamber will fight every battle worth fighting - and just as importantly, settle every dispute that ought to be settled. Over fifty family disputes have been resolved through patient mediation under his guidance, often saving relationships that the courtroom alone could not have preserved.
Meet the AdvocateCompleted Master of Commerce (M.Com), followed by Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat - pairing financial fluency with legal training that would later define the chamber's strength in property and civil matters.
Enrolled as an Advocate under Registration No. R/807/2005 with effect from 27th August 2005, with the certificate granted at Jodhpur on 1st September 2005. Began independent practice at the Pilani Court - the bench that has remained his professional home ever since.
Over a hundred matters argued. Civil disputes, family law, criminal defence, drafting and advisory work - all handled from the chamber in Dev Colony, Pilani, with a quiet reputation that travels by word of mouth.
A pronounced commitment to alternative dispute resolution. Where the law allows, and where families are willing, settlement is pursued before litigation - preserving relationships and saving years of bitterness.
Authorised under Regn. No. 26319 by the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India - empowered to administer oaths, attest documents, certify copies and execute notarial acts under the seal of the Government, throughout Pilani for a period of five years.
